This article and video will guide you through using the
Check-In Web Kiosk for staff time clock.
Requirements - A Master Admin login or a staff type with the following permissions:
How Staff Clock In Through The Kiosk1. Determine Clock-In Method Open up the Check-in kiosk by going to Setup > General > Check In Web Kiosk. The Kiosk Setup tab will open by default. Scroll down until you see the check-in method. Staff options include a barcode reader, fingerprint verification, a combination of both, or a 4 digit pincode. If barcode reader is selected, an option to allow manual entry of barcodes will appear. Click here to learn how to assign a barcode to a staff member. If 4 digit pin is selected, you can have your staff punch in with an entry field using a keyboard, or a number pad, using a touch screen device. ![]() The next step is to open up Internet Explorer on your computer. Paste the web address you copied from the previous step into the address bar in the browser and press the enter key. You may also just click the link to open up a new window. Enter an employee's username and password to activate the kiosk. Click the Activate Check In Kiosk button to complete the login process. NOTES:
The activated web kiosk will now appear showing the setup check in method(s). This kiosk is setup for fingerprint. Have the employee scan their finger. The kiosk can tell the difference between a client and an employee. It will show the timeclock IN / OUT options whenever an employee scans in. At the top of the screen the timeclock will show the time, employee name, employee id, and their admin type. This is so you can confirm the correct employee is being clocked in. The employee's status is at the bottom of the screen. The option to show hours worked so far this day/week can be turned on/off in Time Clock Settings. The clock in or clock out button will activate based on the employees status. NOTE: In this example you can see at the bottom that Mr Customer is clocked out so the clock in button is highlighted. Once Mr Customer clicks the IN button it will change his status to clocked in. The next time Mr Customer scans his fingerprint, his status will be "Currently Clocked In" and the OUT button will be activated. |
