This article will guide you through enrolling a
fingerprint for an employee for clock-in.
Requirements - A Master Admin login or staff type that has the following permissions:
- Staff Management - Can access staff menu tab
NOTES:
- Internet Explorer is required for fingerprint reader to work.
- Fingerprint reader needs to be installed and plugged in before you open Internet Explorer.
- Web kiosk already setup for a fingerprint as a check in option.
Enrolling Staff Clock-in Fingerprints

To enroll a staff fingerprint, Go to; Staff > Lookup A Staff Member > select the staff member > Go To Options > Check In Fingerprints.
Enrolling The Fingerprint

Click on a digit to advance to the next step in the fingerprint enrollment process NOTES: We do not recommend thumb print enrollment unless you have problem with getting a good scan of all of the clients other fingers.
1. The finger
selected will highlight in green below the scan window.
2. Each time
you scan the finger you will see the fingerprint show up in the oval window and
the number will advance from none to 4.
Scan the finger 4 times.
TIPS: To get a good scan try the following.
- While
hovering the finger center the fingertip over the oval window on the
fingerprint reader which should be glowing blue
- Lower the
fingertip and press with even steady pressure to get a good scan, the reader
should glow red
- Once you
see the fingerprint show up in the oval window on the screen and the number
advances lift up, do not keep holding the fingertip down
- Repeat
steps 2 and 3 until all four scan numbers are lit up.
Confirming Fingerprint Enrollment
Once you enroll the fingerprint successfully four
times the screen will change.

1. You will
see the finger highlighted on the left and it will appear on the right. If you want to delete the fingerprint click
the red x on the right.
2. You can
scan more than one fingerprint. Just
click another finger on the left or right hand and complete the process again.
