This article will guide you through generating and understanding the POS Action Log Report. Requirements - A Master Admin login or a staff login with the following permissions:
Generating The POS Action Log ReportThis report will display the Point Of Sale Terminal logs for a given time period. This report will show all POS actions (Open, Drop, Add and Close). 1. View All POS Actions ![]() Navigate to Reports > Sales > POS Action Log and select the date range you want to run. Select the POS Terminal from the drop down box, then choose Run Report. ![]() To export the data, select the floppy disk and choose your method of export: CSV (comma delimited), PDF, or Excel. Information included in this report: Action Date - Date of action. Action Type - Open, Drop, Close, or Add, POS Open Adjust or POS Close Adjust. Action By - Staff member that completed the action Balances - The amount on the drawer at the time of that action. This also details any adds or drops. ![]() Actual Drawer Count - Quantity of each bill and coin type in the drawer. Adjustments - Any cash, checks, or external adjustments. Adjustments occur when a staff member opens/closes the register with different amounts from what is expected. ![]() Drawer Add or Drop Counts - Quantity of bills and/or coins added or dropped.
