This article will guide you through installing the drivers for a Topaz signature pad. Both the Topaz 1"x5" and 4"x5" signature pads will be covered in this article. Requirements - Local administrative rights on your local computer Close all open programs on your computer before starting this process. Step 1 - Download And Launch InstallerDownload the Topaz SigPlus Installer from the link at the bottom of this article or click here to see if there is a newer version from the Topaz's driver download page. ![]() Once you have downloaded the file, place your mouse cursor over the icon for sigplus_install and double-click with your left-mouse button to continue. You may be prompted to click YES or OK to a security prompt, depending on the version of Windows you have . Step 2 - Close All Programs To ContinueThe next prompt will ask you to close all other programs before you continue. This is because the installer will need you to restart your computer when it is completed. ![]() Click the Next > button to continue. Step 3 - Read Me FileThe next screen is a Read Me File created by the manufacturer. ![]() Click the Next > button to continue. Step 4 - Choose Destination LocationThis screen will allow you to change the destination folder for the software to install. We do not recommend changing this. ![]() Click the Next > button to continue. Step 5 - Selecting The Signature Pad Model GroupNow you will need to select the model of your signature pad. The selections are based on the first two letters in the model of your signature pad. This is located on a sticker on the back of the device. ![]() You will need to select the T-L setting and click the OK button. Step 6 - Selecting The Actual Signature Pad ModelThe previous step will narrow down the options to select the exact signature pad you have. You can, again, confirm this by looking at the sticker on the back of the signature pad and comparing the model number to the options below. ![]() For the signature pads with the 1" x 5" display you will select either the T-LBK460 or T-L460 or T-LBK460SE option. For the signature pads with the 4" x 5" display you will select either the T-LBK766 or T-LBK766SE option. Click the OK button to continue. Step 7 - Connection TypeAfter selecting the signature pad model you will need to select how it will connect to your computer. ![]() Select the option for HSB (USB type) and click the OK button. Step 8 - License AgreementThe next screen will display the licensing agreement for installing and using a Topaz signature pad. ![]() Click the Agree button to continue. Step 9 - Demo OcxYou will see the install progress bar start and complete. Once this is done the following message will appear: ![]() Select the No option and click the OK button to continue. Step 10 - Documentation DirectoryThe installer will update to let you know where the installation notes and documentions will be saved on the hard drive. ![]() Click the OK button to continue. Step 11 - SigPlus Plug-Ins, Tools And ExamplesThe second to last screen is letting you know where to find more resources for compatibility and programming. ![]() Click the OK button to continue. Step 12 - Finalizing The InstallThe final setup step is the completion screen. ![]() Click the Finish > button to close the installer. The installation software may prompt you to restart your computer. Once this is complete the final step is to plug the signature pad's usb cable into a usb port on the computer. The computer will detect the device and complete the installation. |
